Long gone are the days when you just hauled on a pair of tennis and went onto the court. Nowadays a lot of thought and money goes into what you are going to put on your feet for your game of Basketball.
Here is a list of the 10 most expensive basketball shoes.
01: Air Jordan 1
Air Jordan 1 – A pair of these shoes will cost you $25,000. As the original design was only in black and red, Jordan was fined $5,000 every time he played in them. According to the rules of basketball, the shoes worn must contain at least some white. 12 pairs of these shoes were made in black and gold for sale in Asia. These too will now cost you $25,000.
02: Air Mag

Air Mag – A pair of these cost $12,000. Michael J Fox wore a pair of these in the movie, back to the future sequel. Because of the seemingly popular futuristic look of these shoes, 20 pairs were made and each pair cost $12,000.
03: Air Jordan V

Air Jordan V – Featuring a reflective tongue and clear rubber soles, these shoes cost a mere $10,000. Reminiscent of the WW11 fighter planes the mid soles of these shoes featured a shark’s teeth design and came with a number 23 near the back.
04: Air Jordan 1

Air Jordan 1 – These shoes were red and combined metallic white and metallic silver. As there were 12,000 pairs of these shoes made, they only cost $8,000 for one pair.
05: Air Jordan V1

Air Jordan V1 – These shoes were made in several combinations of colors but a pair of the white/carmine black, the same as Jordan wore when he appeared as part of the Dream Team in the Olympics in 1992, were recently sold for $7,200.
06: Air Jordan 111

Air Jordan 111 – This was the first pair to be made for Jordan by Tinker Hatfield. After some hesitation Jordan wore them and had one of his best years, winning the All Star MVP, Slam Dunk award and being Defensive Back of the Year.
07: Adidas KB8 Selection

Adidas KB8 Selection – originally named KB* after Kobi Bryant, the name was changed to Crazy 8 when Kobi left Adidas. Only two pairs of these golden shoes were made and each pair cost a cool $3,000.
08: Air Jordan X1

Air Jordan X1 – These were the first pair that Jordan wore on his comeback to basketball in 1995. These shoes had condura nylon top and fiber plates in the bottom which made them lighter. Jordan also wore these shoes in his movie Space Jam. These shoes only cost $2,700.
09: Air Force 1 Chamber of Fears

Air Force 1 Chamber of Fears – Originally created in 1982, they were said to be the most influential sneakers. Re released in 2005 with half going to Asia and the other half remaining in the US, these shoes can only be bought at auction for a price of around $2,500.
10: Air Force 1 Four Horsemen

Air Force 1 Four Horsemen – These were designed by Nike especially for LeBron James and the ESPY awards. Less than 12 pairs were made and each pair cost $2,500.
